One of the most common questions we get from developers is: "What do we need to provide?" The good news is you almost certainly already have most of it.
The essential files
### 1. Exterior render sequence
This is the core of the interactive spin viewer. You need a sequence of renders taken at consistent angles around the building — like frames of a rotation.
What to ask your studio for:
- 24–36 renders at equal intervals around the building (every 10–15 degrees)
- Consistent lighting across all frames
- JPG or PNG format, minimum 1920px wide
Most studios produce these as part of a standard render package. If yours hasn't, just ask — it's a simple brief.
### 2. Floor plan images
One floor plan image per unit type. These can be:
- Architectural drawings (cleaned up to show room layout)
- Dimensioned plans from your architect
- Marketing floor plans from your sales pack
PNG or PDF both work. Black and white or colour — either is fine.
### 3. Unit schedule
A simple spreadsheet is enough:
- Unit number or name
- Unit type (1-bed, 2-bed, etc.)
- Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
- Floor
- Asking price (optional — can be "POA")
- Current status (available, reserved, sold)
Optional but highly effective
### Interior 360° images
These are equirectangular panorama images — the kind you can look around in all directions. If your visualisation studio provides these, they become interior walk-throughs in your viewer.
What to ask for:
- One equirectangular panorama per room, per unit type
- JPG format, minimum 4000px wide
- Typical output: living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom
Not every studio produces these by default, but most can if you brief them early. It's worth asking — they dramatically increase buyer engagement.
What you don't need
- A 3D model or BIM file
- Video walkthroughs
- Any technical software
- Any special file formats
Briefing your studio
The simplest brief to your studio: "We're setting up an interactive render viewer. Can you provide a 360° exterior spin sequence (24–36 frames at equal intervals) and equirectangular interior panoramas for each unit type?"
Most studios know exactly what this means. If yours doesn't, we can help bridge the gap.
Timeline
Once we have your files, your development is typically live within 48 hours. If you're mid-render production, the best time to brief your studio is now — so the assets arrive in the right format from the start.
